Hand-Building Ceramics Workshop with Jessica Ellis- Fri 20 March

A$160.00

An intimate, beginner-friendly ceramics workshop focused on hand-building beautiful small vessels - organic forms inspired by textures in the natural world around us. This relaxed three hour workshop is held in-store at Curio Palm Beach with Sydney potter Jessica Ellis. You’ll learn simple hand building techniques, no wheel, no experience necessary - just a slow, satisfying afternoon making something uniquely yours.

Jessica will take you step-by-step through her mindful process of making, beginning by connecting with inspiration from nature. She will share the techniques she has built up over the span of her creative practice as she guides you in creating your own piece.

You will get the chance to experiment with clay, and then complete one piece which Jessica will glaze and fire for you. Fired pieces will be available to pick up from Curio approximately four weeks after the workshop.

Included: all materials, firing, and a welcome glass of bubbles upon arrival. Please feel free to bring additional refreshments.

Date: Fri 20 March

Time: 4.30 - 7.30pm

Suitable for: Beginners (14 yrs and over)

Tickets: Please note tickets are transferable but not refundable.

Spaces: Limited to 8

About Jessica: Jessica Ellis creates intricate handbuilt ceramics inspired by the wild beauty of Australian landscapes — from the shifting light of the bush to the mysterious, pulsing life of Sydney’s rockpools.
